SLCC (Salt Lake Community College)

 

 

The SLCC Professional Pilot Degree Program combines a wide spectrum of academic, simulator and in-flight instruction into a comprehensive curriculum designed to prepare students for a fixed- wing and/or rotary- wing pilot career in the aviation industry.  Students successfully completing the program requirments will receive a 2- year Accosciate of Science (AS) Degree in Professional Pilot with an emphasis in fixed- wing, rotary- wing or both as desired.  For students interested in pursuing advanced degrees, SLCC's professional Pilot credits can be easily transfered into many colleges. 
In addition to the Professional Pilot degree, which requires successful completion of the Private Pilot and Instrument Licenses, students may take a variety of fixed-wing and rotary-wing license and certificate-associated academic courses and flight instruction, such as Commercial Pilot and Certified Flight Instructor (CFI).
If you’re interested in pursuing an aviation degree at SLCC, you can either enroll in person, at one of SLCC’s Enrollment Services offices  or online. SLCC’s aviation students pursue their General Education and Institutional academic courses at designated SLCC campus locations. Professional Pilot academic courses are conducted at SLCC’s aviation facility, and simulator and flight/in-aircraft (Lab) courses are conducted at the appropriate rotary-wing (Upper Limit) and/or fixed-wing (SLCC) training facility as per flight emphasis.

UVSC (Utah Valley State College)

 

Upper Limit Aviation also participates in Utah Valley State College's Degree Programs. Through UVSC, you can get one of the following two aviation degrees:
  • UVSC - Associate in Applied Science Degree Aviation Science Department
  • UVSC - Bachelor of Science Aviation Science Department
What is the Global Aviation Degree Program (G.A.D.P.)?
  • It is the distance learning provider of the successful Aviation Science Program at Utah Valley State College (UVSC).
  • It is an accredited college degree program which allows you to complete all of your course online including your general requirements after you complete your flight training.
  • Upper Limit Aviation is under contract to provide the Helicopter Flight Training portion of your degree.
  • G.A.D.P. has Regional Accreditation through the state of Utah.
  • Students who are part of the UVSC Global Aviation Degree Program will have the same access to student services at UVSC as students attending classes on the Utah campus. This includes: job placement, recommendations, career counseling, graduation assistance and financial aid.

How Does the Global Aviation Degree Program work?

1. First, you will complete all of your flight training
  • Private, Commercial, Instrument, Instructor & Instrument Instructor Ratings
  • Next, you may begin working as a Professional Helicopter Pilot while completing your remaining courses online.
2. Your helicopter ratings apply toward your total credit hours.

3. Upon graduation, you will receive the same diploma from UVSC; equivalent to those received by on campus students.

4. 100% financing (on approved credit) is available with no finance charges or payments until 6 months after graduation or withdrawing from the G.A.D.P. program.
