Robinson Helicopter Training & Authorized Robinson Service Center
Upper Limit Aviation, a Robinson R22 Beta II flight school, opened for business in April of 2004. ULA started small with only one ship, the school grew quickly adding its second Beta II in September of 2004 and a third in March of 2005. ULA’s fleet includes a Robinson 44 Raven II, four Robinson 22 Beta II’s and a FAA 141 approved flight training device used for helicopter simulation. Upper Limit Aviation believes learning to fly Robinson helicopters at over 4200’ MSL in and out of bravo airspace is a wonderful benefit for our students and a positive attribute to possess for future work in the commercial industry. Whether a student moves on to work in the forest service, air med, heli skiing or instructing in Robinson helicopters, training at high altitude will give him/her a definite advantage over the competition..
Robinson helicopters are quickly becoming the training helicopters of choice. Many believe, if you can fly Robinson helicopters, you can fly just about anything. Upper Limit Aviation agrees, all of our instructors have spent the total of their logged hours flying between 4000’ and 8000’ MSL. As one of only a handful of Robinson Beta II school facilities at high altitude, with a 100% safety record in flight training, we have complete faith in the ability of our helicopters and the pilots who fly them..
Robinson helicopters are the highest selling helicopters, not just for flight schools, but industry wide. They are sold to a vast number of commercial operators, who like them for their cost effectiveness and safety standards. Chances are a commercial pilot will fly a Robinson at some point in their career.
All helicopters require meticulous maintenance. As an authorized Robinson service center, ULA is able to offer complete maintenance and overhaul services to not only its fleet but, all owners of Robinson helicopters. Upper Limit has an on-staff IA with over 10 years of experience in both military and civilian helicopter maintenance.
Upper Limit Aviation is a growing Robinson helicopter flight school and aspiring commercial operator. ULA plans to continually upgrade and purchase new aircraft. The idea of providing top of the line Robinson training, knowledgeable instructors, and becoming a leader in the helicopter industry is the driving force behind ULA and the goal of owners and staff.
