Salt Lake City Helicopter School

Upper Limit Aviation is proud to announce the opening of our new office and updated hangar. With the new facility comes the opportunity for our students to be immersed in every aspect of the helicopter industry. Students are provided with comfortable areas to study and are encouraged to discuss difficult principles of their training with other students and instructors. With our new hangar and an on-staff IA mechanic, Upper Limit is able to facilitate the maintenance and overhaul of helicopters as a Robinson Factory Authorized Service Center This also enables students, on a daily basis, to see the maintenance, overhaul, and inner workings of the aircraft adding to their knowledge and understanding of critical components.

Upper Limit Aviation is conveniently located at the Salt Lake International Airport. We have specifically chosen this location to offer our students the most diverse helicopter flight training possible. Salt Lake International Airport is Class B airspace. Our helicopter students are communicating with the tower like the professionals early in their private pilot training. Flying in and out of Class B also allows our students to negotiate this airspace with confidence and control.

Not only are we a helicopter flight training school, but we are also a Authorized Robinson Service Center. We offer complete R-22 and R-44 overhaul and full- service maintenance.

Upper Limit Aviation started at Salt Lake International with a T-hangar and a small office in the Executive Terminal three years ago.  Within one year we began sharing 2500 sq ft of remodeled offices in the Executive Terminal with a fixed-wing school.  We then began the acquisition and remodeling project of our current hangar at Access 1.

ULA worked with the Salt Lake Airport Authority to come up with an agreeable plan to house ULA's growing flight school.  ULA has a long term lease on the property and paid for all the improvements to the building.  We are extremely proud of our new building and all our hard work and plan to stay here a very long time.
